Out of Home and This World

While some brands may choose to target Gen Z or Millennials, others are aiming for a demographic that’s a bit more…intergalactic.

The marshmallow-filled treat named after Earth’s only natural satellite, MoonPie®, is shooting for the stars with a series of out-of-home ads that are only “understood” by extraterrestrials. Yep, stemming from newfound interest in non-human space life following the congressional hearings on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs), MoonPies is hoping to corner the far-out market with alien-first advertising.

After consulting with extraterrestrial experts to gain market research on what makes space travelers salivate, MoonPie created futuristic, pulsating, astronomical ads that have been placed in UAP hotspots around the world (like New Mexico and Florida, of course), complete with its own alien language. As for us, we’re suspicious about the potential profits that come from an audience known for their elusive existence. We think they could’ve benefited from adding a QR code to the ads to give unsuspecting viewers a way to translate the creativity.

And if we’re being honest, you’d have to be from a different planet if you didn’t like marshmallows and chocolate!
