As creative connoisseurs, we can’t help but get excited about colors, especially when they serve as a metaphorical mood ring for how to approach the coming year. As Pantone puts it, “Viva Magenta represents reassurance, confidence, and connection in a world trying to get back on its feet.” In other words, Viva Magenta serves as a symbol of becoming conventional after the unconventionality of things lately. (Woah, Pantone. That’s deep.) These colorful choices of their “Color Institute” are meant to reflect trends across the facets of beauty, fashion, technology, design, and home decor. But let’s be honest, it’s really just impressive how many names they can come up for “red.”
